data security

We use the latest encryption technology including 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption and 1024-bit RSA public keys. All data communication to and from a user's computer is encrypted using SSL, which is the most widely used Internet standard for encrypted communications.

The user registration process and the login procedure are encrypted. tikktakk provides each user in your organization with a unique user name and password that must be entered each time a user logs on. tikktakk issues a session "cookie" only to record encrypted authentication information for the duration of a specific session. The session "cookie" does not include either the username or password of the user. tikktakk does not use "cookies" to store other confidential user and session information, but instead implements more advanced security methods based on dynamic data and encoded session IDs.

Passwords are never transmitted in clear text. Users' passwords are stored in a one-way encrypted format (using a standardized one-way cipher).

This protects your information and ensures that your data is safe, secure, and available only to registered users in your organization. Your data will be completely inaccessible to your competitors.

secure facilities

tikktakk is hosted in a secure server environment with:

Fire protection and climate control. The facility has automatic smoke detection and fire extinguishing systems. A climate control system maintains the correct temperature, level of humidity and air pressure.

Secondary power supply. The facility is equipped with secondary power supply systems and diesel generators to ensure delivery of uninterrupted power to the servers.

Internet connection. Redundant and high-capacity Internet connections via a multi-homing setup of Internet providers ensure that customers will always have full uninterrupted access to our service.

system architecture

Multi-layer redundancy. tikktakk is built upon the Linux server platform and has been designed to operate at full redundancy. All key system components, from application servers, database and storage to network architecture, are set up redundantly in order to ensure optimum availability and to eliminate single points of failure.

Database security and backups. In the unlikely event of hardware or database failure, comprehensive backup procedures ensure service continuity. The database servers are mirrored in real time and back-ups are performed on an hourly basis.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity. Our servers are located at two separate fully-independent datacenters. In case of any major disruption or disaster in one datacenter, the second datacenter can take over the full load in less than one hour.
